Mikael Marignac, French-Finnish scriptwriter and director, studied film at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University before moving to Stockholm where he graduated with a Master's degree in cinema studies at the Stockholm University, writing his thesis about Carl. Theodore Dreyer’s Ordet. When he came back to France, Mikael Marignac focused on his longing to make movies. He gained some technical and professional experience as a cameraman, editor, first assistant-director and producer while improving his writing skills at the same time. In 2018, his first short fiction film Kajaani was selected in several festivals such as Clermont Ferrand International Film Festival or Premiers Plans d’Angers. The same year, he releases his second film La Vibratique, a documentary, which won the Label Film of La Maison du Film and was selected to the Côté Court de Pantin Festival.
