HUNTING SEASON best film at Macao

Already awarded in Venice three months ago, Natalia Garagiola’s directorial debut, TEMPORADA DE CAZA (HUNTING SEASON), just claimed the best film award at the second International Film Festival & Awards Macao (IFFAM). Jury President Laurent Cantet said: “The jury was impressed by Hunting Season’s fluid style and construction and by the precision of its directing,” pointing out also “the quality of its acting.“ Films in the running included Xin Yukun's Wrath Of Silence, Xavier Legrand's Custody, and Samuel Maoz's Foxtrot.

triomphe à Macao

TEMPORADA DE CAZA (SAISON DE CHASSE), le premier long métrage de Natalia Garagiola, déjà récompensé à Venise il y a trois mois, vient de remporter le prix du meilleur film au deuxième Festival international du film de Macao (IFFAM).

Le jury, présidé par le cinéaste Laurent Cantet, a, dans ses attendus, déclaré avoir « été impressionné par le style fluide et la construction du film et par la précision de sa mise en scène » en soulignant aussi « la qualité de son interprétation ». Parmi les films en lice, figuraient Wrath Of Silence de Xin Yukun, Jusqu'à la garde de Xavier Legrand ou encore Foxtrot de Samuel Maoz.
