Strasbourg sur courts is an initiative intended to support the production and diffusion of 15-minute short fiction films shot entirely in Strasbourg and its suburbs.
The idea behind the project is to build a collection of fiction films in which Strasbourg will be the living, beating heart. Proposals should reflect a strong connection with the defining features of the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg, its territory, identity and future.
Twice a year, a call for applications will be issued and a jury of film professionals and representatives of our partners will select four to five film projects. Their respective authors will subsequently receive support at the development stage. After having signed an initial copyright transfer agreement, the selected applicants will receive advice, assistance and expertise that will enable them to ensure the economic viability of their projects within six months, before proceeding to the production stage.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Strasbourg sur courts is open to all filmmakers – in France or abroad – who have already made a short fiction film in an academic or a professional setting, and who are interested in working with Les Films de l’Étranger and its team in an environment where experience and skills help drive creative excellence.

WHEN TO APPLY?
The second Strasbourg sur courts 2018  call for entries opened on August 15th., 2018. Applications must be submitted by October 29th, 2018 at the latest. The list of selected projects will be announced on December 12th, 2018.

HOW TO APPLY?
The following documents must be included in your application:
Р   The fully completed application form (please note that a link to watch one of the applicant’s previous short films must be included)
Р   A short synopsis (max. 5 lines)
Р   The script (max. 20 pages)
Р   Note of intent
Р   Resume

Any other useful document will be accepted as long as the PDF application file does not exceed 5 Mo.
